Redfest Bristol 2019: festival fun in the heart of BS5
Billed as ‘Bristol’s most loved community festival’, Redfest has been rolling out its eclectic mix of music, art, dance and all manner of other festival-style entertainment since 2008.
With something for everyone and fit for seasoned party-goers and families alike, Redfest brings a truly inspiring, creative and fun festival experience to our vibrant corner of Bristol. What’s more, it’s free.
This year, BS5’s favourite festival is set to open with much-loved local party band, Brass Junkies, who are guaranteed to whisk the community into full festival swing with their New Orleans style jazz, pop and funk covers.
Headlining are Dr Meaker, one of the UK’s best live, soulful drum and bass acts. Returning to Bristol where their journey began, Dr Meaker’s exclusive fusion of sounds has earned them a global fan-base. You can see them right here in East Bristol!
The 2019 line-up also includes Bhangra outfit, RSVP, reggae group, Backbeat Soundsystem and ska and swing band, Year of the Dog.
Alongside the buzzing vibes of the Redfest music scene, you’ll find unique artistic tributes, fantastic food, children’s entertainment and enjoy an all-round upbeat community, festival atmosphere.
Redfest is run by an outstanding team of volunteers and funded entirely by donations. It exists to bring free music and arts to the thriving community of East Bristol and beyond.
With a firm focus on engaging and energising the local area, Redfest strives to nurture up-and-coming talent and local businesses.
In true BS5 style, Redfest oozes creativity, originality and entrepreneurial fun. It is not to be missed.
